Cycling in Richmond upon Thames

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames has many attractions for cycists. There are several notable routes away from the roads such as the Tamsin Trail around the periphery of Richmond Park, extensive river paths alongside the Thames and the Crane River providing pleasant cycle rides.

Richmond Cycling Campaign is the local London Cycling Campaign group in the area. They cover the whole Borough of Richmond upon Thames, which as well as Richmond includes Twickenham, Hampton, Whitton, Teddington, Mortlake, Kew, Sheen, St Margarets and Barnes. They work to make a cycle friendly borough, working with the council to improve facilities for cyclists and raising the profile of cycling in the borough through education and participation. They organise regular cycle rides and maintenance workshops open to all.
